Multicast and Unicast IP support with address translation
The internet does not natively support IP multicast, which makes it difficult to efficiently distribute live streams to multiple destinations. Typically, this requires complex network configurations or unicast streams sent to each recipient individually, which increases bandwidth consumption and reduces efficiency. Without proper handling, sending multicast traffic over the internet is either impossible or requires costly infrastructure to recreate multicast streams at each endpoint.

The gateway transports only the UDP data content over the internet, which is much more efficient.
